About The Role
n
Student Support Services works with schools and preschools to provide support to assist them in meeting the needs of children and students with additional needs.
n
The Multi-Disciplinary Support Assistant supports the Student Support Services discipline teams in the delivery of services to referred children and students, and their education support staff and families.
n
The Multi-Disciplinary Support Assistant, under the direction and supervision of a a team manager, psychologist, speech pathologist, educator or social worker, delivers a range of screening and interventions in preschools and schools. Duties pertaining to the role are clearly and specifically directed by the Senior Leadership with clearly demarcated work instructions.

Qualifications
n
Essential: Nil
n
Desirable: Certificate in Disability Support/Disability or working towards completion of a degree or equivalent for graduate entry to the speech pathology, psychology, teaching, social work, audiology or occupational therapy professions.
n
Special conditions
n
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
n
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
n

Remuneration
n
OPS2 $66,441 - $69,504 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
