Lee Ming Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and hands-on Fruit Farm Worker to join our team on a full time basis. You are expected to assist in growing, harvesting and packing fruit.
Key responsibilities
- Monitoring and patrolling the farm to ensure it is well maintained, inspecting crops, and reporting on their condition
- Operating and maintaining general farm machinery
- Undertaking soil preparation, cultivation, and crop maintenance
- Selecting and planting seeds, seedlings, and grafting new varieties
- Applying pesticides and herbicides to control weed growth, insects, fungal growth, and diseases
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the farm
- Installing, operating and maintaining water and irrigation systems
- Harvesting produce by selecting and picking fruit according to quality requirements and discarding rotten or overripe produce
- Grading, packing, and loading produce onto trucks
About you
- Certificate I qualification or completion of secondary school
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in fruit farming or a related agricultural role
- Must be available for permanent full-time employment
- Must have full-work right in Australia
