As the Preschool Room Leader, you will lead the day-to-day educational program and support the team to provide high-quality learning and care for children.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor educators within the Preschool Room.
- Develop and implement a high-quality program aligned with the EYLF.
- Complete meaningful observations, assessments, documentation and planning.
- Use children's interests, strengths and developmental needs to guide the curriculum.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the wider team.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Support compliance with the NQF, NQS, EYLF and National Regulations.
- Contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement.
- Support the service through Assessment and Rating (A&R;) processes.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognised qualification.
- ECT qualification/eligibility.
- Previous Room Leader or leadership experience in an early childhood setting.
- Demonstrated experience with Assessment and Rating (A&R;).
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework.
- Experience with programming.
- Confident and experienced leader who can guide and motivate a team.
- Passionate about children's learning, development and wellbeing.
- Robust in curriculum planning, assessment and documentation.
- Excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with children, families and educators.
