About the role The Wait Staff position is responsible for delivering warm, professional and memorable dining experiences to every guest at Argyle House Camden. The successful applicant will have previous hospitality experience, a positive attitude and the confidence to work in a busy premium restaurant and functions environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.

Key responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and professionally, escort guests to their tables and assist with seating where required.
- Provide attentive, friendly and knowledgeable service throughout the guest experience.
- Explain menus, daily specials, steak selections, beverages and function packages.
- Respond to guest questions and requests promptly and anticipate guest needs without being intrusive.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and refer serious matters to the Duty Manager.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders correctly through the venue's point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and beverages according to Argyle House service standards and check meals before delivery to the table.
- Monitor tables throughout service and ensure drinks, cutlery and condiments are replenished.




- Explicit and reset tables efficiently and present and process guest accounts accurately.
- Prepare the restaurant, private dining room, balcony and function spaces before service, including table settings, polishing glassware and folding napkins.

About you

- Previous restaurant, bar, functions or hospitality experience.
- Current NSW RSA certificate.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy services.
- Excellent personal presentation and hygiene.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods and safely carry plates, trays and beverages.
- Australian working rights appropriate to the position.
