About the Upholstery Team
Our Upholstery Team is hands-on in bringing furniture to life. We cut, sew, glue, pull, staple, and fit components together to create lounges and classroom chairs. You may do some or all of these steps, with jigs, tools, and standard processes to support you. Together, we craft high-quality, comfortable pieces that are built to last.

About the Role
We are seeking an Upholsterer to join our talented team at our Minto site. Ideally, you will have upholstery experience, but we are also open to capable learners with transferable skills and a strong willingness to learn.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools.
The role is based at our Minto site, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. Day shift: 7am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Key tasks & responsibilities
Tasks range from simple to complex, upholstering furniture such as chairs, sofas, and other seating with fabric, leather, or other materials..
This includes:
- Working from patterns, instructions and standard processes to produce upholstered furniture.
- Assembling furniture frames and carcasses.
- Cutting, fitting and attaching foam and other cushioning materials using adhesives.
- Fitting and attaching fabric, leather and other upholstery materials using staples and other methods.
- Using hand tools, jigs and other equipment to complete upholstery and assembly tasks.
- Ensuring products are finished to a high standard and meet quality requirements.
- Following safe work practices and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in upholstery or a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Capable learner with strong practical skills / good with your hands
What’s in it for you?
- Fixed Term contract commencing October through to January (3-4 month contract)
- 38 hours per week + guaranteed 2 hours over time every week, totaling a 40-hour working week

- Time off between Christmas and Current Year, last day Thursday 24 December 2026 and returning Monday 4 January 2027
