Huntley + Co is looking for an experienced, reliable and customer-focused Furniture Delivery Driver / Future Team Leader to join our full-time on-road team. This is more than just a delivery role. We’re looking for someone who has the experience, confidence and attitude to take on responsibility and, once trained in our systems and processes, progress quickly into an On-Road Team Leader role.

You’ll be working with high-quality furniture and homewares, delivering to professionally styled properties across Sydney and working directly with property stylists, clients and our internal team.

Experience in truck driving, furniture removals or deliveries will be highly regarded, and previous experience within the property styling, furniture hire or interiors industry would be a significant advantage.

About the Role

Based from our Lane Cove West warehouse, you’ll work as part of our on-road team delivering, installing and collecting furniture and homewares throughout Sydney. This is a hands-on, physical role that also requires excellent customer service, attention to detail and the ability to take responsibility for a job from start to finish.

As you become familiar with our operations, we’re looking for you to progress into leading jobs on the road – driving the truck, directing your delivery team, communicating with clients and stylists, and ensuring each job is completed safely, efficiently and professionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Driving company delivery vehicles to jobs across Sydney

· Loading and unloading furniture and homewares

· Delivering, positioning and collecting furniture from residential properties

· Leading and supporting a small on-road delivery team





· Taking responsibility for jobs and ensuring the team works safely and efficiently

· Communicating professionally with clients, homeowners, property stylists and our logistics team

· Carefully handling furniture and working respectfully within clients’ homes

· Following delivery schedules, job instructions and company procedures

· Completing required job documentation accurately

· Carrying out basic vehicle checks and keeping delivery vehicles clean and organised

· Working closely with our warehouse and logistics teams to keep each day running smoothly

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical, confident and comfortable taking responsibility. To be successful, you’ll need:

· A current Australian driver’s licence (C class only) and a good driving record

· Confidence driving larger vehicles

· Previous experience in deliveries, removals or a similar hands-on role

· Good physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and manoeuvre furniture

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· A qualified and respectful approach when working in clients’ homes

· Strong attention to detail and care when handling furniture

· The ability to work well as part of a team and confidently take the lead when required

· Reliability and punctuality

· Full Australian working rights

Highly regarded:

· Previous truck driving experience

· Furniture removals or furniture delivery experience

· Experience leading or supervising a small team

· Experience within property styling, furniture hire, interiors or a related industry

· Previous experience working directly with clients or trade customers
