- Assess knitwear construction, yarn behaviour, stitch quality and garment finishing
- Monitor garment and fabric performance across wash and wear
- Identify technical and quality issues and provide solutions throughout the development process
- Manage sample assessment, quality sign-off and bulk approval
- Work closely with the Senior Designer and Design Assistant to achieve the intended design, fit and quality
- Communicate clear technical requirements and feedback to suppliers
- Maintain accurate records and ensure technical work is completed within critical timelines
- Take ownership of quality standards across your categories from development through to production
You are:
- An experienced Garment Technician with knitwear experience

- Highly detail-oriented with a strong understanding of garment construction
- Comfortable making technical decisions and taking ownership of product quality
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple styles and deadlines at once
- Able to work quickly and accurately without compromising standards
- Proactive, solutions-focused and confident working independently
- A strong communicator who can work collaboratively with designers and suppliers
- Passionate about producing premium, high-quality product
- Previous menswear experience will be highly regarded, particularly within premium or designer fashion.
Benefits:
- Work closely with CALIBRE's in-house design studio from our South Yarra Head Office
- Hands-on involvement across the full product development lifecycle
- Team-oriented work environment with opportunities for progression and growth
- Up to 70% off CALIBRE's premium product range, plus exclusive external discounts with brand partners
- Earn up to $4,000 per referral through our employee referral scheme
If you have a strong technical background in knitwear and garment construction, take pride in product quality and enjoy working in a fast-paced fashion environment, we would love to hear from you.
