Ian Barker Gardens is looking for a Garden Maintenance Apprentice (2nd or 3rd Year) or an Experienced Gardener to join our Maintenance team. Whether you're partway through your apprenticeship or already have runs on the board, we want to hear from you.

The Role

- Hands-on garden maintenance across an established list of premium clients and gardens
- Working alongside a skilled, supportive team who take pride in the details
- Real scope to grow — whether that's finishing your apprenticeship or stepping up into a supervisor role

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is passionate about horticulture and has an eagerness to learn and develop their skills
- Is a supportive team player who helps to foster a culture of collaboration to achieve the best outcomes for our clients' gardens
- Maintains a high professional standard by taking an organised and efficient approach to tasks and responsibilities
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills

If you’re an apprentice (2nd or 3rd):

- Currently undertaking a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens
- Basic knowledge of plants, pests, diseases,



pruning techniques and garden maintenance tools
- Willing to develop and learn from some of the best in the industry

If you’re an experienced/ qualified gardener:

- A proven track record in garden maintenance, ideally in a premium or high-end residential setting
- Strong plant knowledge and confident, protected operation of maintenance tools and equipment
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision and mentoring more junior team members
