We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Governance Officer to provide executive-level secretariat support to senior and strategic governance forums for one of our SA Health clients.
This is a key role responsible for supporting high-level decision-making processes, ensuring governance activities are delivered with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level, confidential secretariat support to senior and strategic meetings
- Coordinate end-to-end governance processes including agendas, papers, minutes, and action tracking
- Plan and maintain schedules for governance meetings and related activities
- Prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, and briefing materials with strong attention to political sensitivity and risk
- Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, executives, and external organisations
- Support project coordination activities and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
- Develop, implement, and maintain governance processes, procedures, and information systems
- Ensure timely dissemination of governance reporting and documentation
About You:
- You hold a Police Clearance valid within 6 months
- Proven experience providing executive officer or secretariat support at a senior level
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across government and external organisations
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare transparent, concise, and sensitive documentation
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with the ability to contribute new ideas
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable:
- Exposure to risk management, policy development, and compliance frameworks
