The Opportunity
As a Graduate Agribusiness Advisor, you’ll work on real farming businesses from day one - analysing performance, building budgets and forecasts, researching markets, contributing to business plans and supporting client projects.
You’ll be part of a small, experienced team, giving you meaningful involvement early, direct exposure to clients and Farm Managers, and the opportunity to see how agricultural businesses are managed, measured and improved.
It’s a role with substance, variety and a clear commercial edge. An opportunity to build practical experience and a strong foundation for a long-term career in agribusiness.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with farm budgets, cash flow forecasting and quarterly financial reporting
- Support the preparation of farm business plans, strategies and client projects
- Prepare farm performance and benchmarking analysis using Excel and digital tools
- Conduct agricultural, commodity and market research to support client advice
- Build relationships with Farm Managers and understand their businesses and operations
- Participate in client meetings and farm visits as your experience develops
- Undertake periodic travel to regional and rural locations, including occasional overnight travel
About You
You’ll bring a genuine interest in agriculture, sound analytical capability and a practical approach to learning how agricultural businesses operate.
You’ll have a relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Farm Management, Rural Science, Commerce, Business, Accounting or a related discipline.
You’ll ideally bring
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- An interest in agriculture, farm businesses and their commercial performance
- Confidence using Excel and an interest in learning digital and AI-enabled tools
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, grounded approach and willingness to get involved
- Strong attention to detail when working with data, reporting and client information
- Practical exposure to farming, or a sound understanding of how farming businesses operate, will be highly regarded.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to undertake periodic regional travel
