An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Lawyer to be involved in one of Australia's most high-profile class actions regarding concussion and Australian Rules Football. Based in either their Melbourne CBD, Bentleigh or Sunbury office. This is a permanent full-time role, with adaptable working arrangements on offer for the right candidate.

About the role

n

Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will play an important role in a very high-profile case. With the support of the Managing Principal and through your strong litigation experience, you will provide expert legal advice and assistance whilst ensuring the best possible outcome for our clients. Previous class actions experience is not essential, and the role would equally suit an ambitious lawyer working within personal injury looking for a change in focus and/or growth.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Litigating one of Australia's most high-profile class actions;
n




- Developing strong relationships with clients and providing accurate and timely advice;
n
- Liaising with professionals, experts and lay witnesses to gather evidence and produce expert reports;
n
- Drafting legal documents, including affidavits, correspondence and other litigation documents as required; and
n
- Instructing counsel at Court appearances, mediation, and the like.

About you

n

n
- Strong litigation experience is essential;
n
- Prior experience within personal injury, ideally in a plaintiff personal injury practice or similar;
n
- Prior class actions experience not essential;
n
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills;
n
- High level of professionalism and client service orientation; and
n
- Experience in litigating in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
