Job Description
Senior Graphic Designer
n
Engagement type: Freelance / contract
n
Duration: Minimum 4–6 weeks initially, with potential to extend or convert to a permanent role for the right candidate
n
Start date: ASAP
n
Location: Eastern Creek, NSW — fully on-site
n
Rate: Competitive Day Rate
n
About the Role
n
We're looking for an experienced, intuitive Graphic Designer to join an established in-house creative team within the health and wellness / consumer goods space. This is a fast-paced, end-to-end design role supporting a large and growing product portfolio (50+ products).
n
The team designs almost everything in-house - from packaging and labelling through to digital, trade, and broadcast assets. The successful candidate will need to be a true all-rounder, comfortable moving between formats and mediums with minimal oversight.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Produce end-to-end design across product packaging and labelling, digital marketing assets, trade and point-of-sale materials, and print/press collateral
n
- Support video-based assets including TVCs/TVRs and short-form video builds (not videography, but assembly/editing of video content)
n
- Ensure all creative work complies with relevant advertising codes and regulatory requirements (e.g. TGA-style compliance)
n
- Interpret creative briefs independently and translate them into on-brand, effective assets without extensive direction
n
- Manage multiple concurrent projects via Monday.com, participating in briefing/"micro meetings" with product and marketing leads
n
- Work at pace within a team that rarely has quiet periods,
with additional volume expected in the lead-up to conference season
n
n
About the Team
n
You'll join a graphic design team of 4 sitting within a broader marketing function that includes trade marketing, digital marketing and communications, and technical/consumer-facing writers. The team reports through to the Marketing Director. Tenure on the team ranges from several years to 12 months, reflecting a secure, experienced group.
n
What We're Looking For
n
Essential software skills:
n
n
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro & After Effects
n
n
Essential experience & attributes:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience across both digital and print design
n
- Comfortable working within a direct-response marketing style - briefs come with a defined creative direction and target audience, so this is not a "reinvent the wheel" or purely conceptual role
n
- Strong intuitive briefing skills: able to read a brief, understand the brand and audience, and produce compliant, on-target work with minimal back-and-forth
n
- Prior experience in a regulated product category (e.g. health, pharma, FMCG with compliance requirements) is highly regarded
n
- Skilled maturity and the ability to work efficiently under sustained workload, without requiring hand-holding
n
- Open to candidates across a range of experience levels — capability and intuition matter more than years of experience or age
n
n
Practical Notes
n
This is a fully on-site, "shoulder-to-shoulder" working environment — not suited to remote-first candidates
