Your role

As part of our Early Careers team based in Melbourne, you'll help shape the future of the firm by attracting, engaging, and developing the next generation of talent. You'll work closely with partners, lawyers, and business teams to deliver market-leading recruitment and development experiences that identify high-performing students and support them to launch their careers at Allens.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, building robust relationships and bringing ideas to life. You'll be trusted with meaningful responsibility from day one, supported by a collaborative team and encouraged to contribute new thinking as we continue to evolve our programs and candidate experience.

As an Early Careers Consultant you will:

- Partner with stakeholders across the firm to attract, engage, select and onboard future talent.
- Represent Allens as a brand ambassador, building relationships with universities and student communities through careers fairs, presentations and firm events.
- Work closely with partners, lawyers and business teams to deliver engaging recruitment, development and networking opportunities for students.
- Design and deliver market-leading engagement programs, including Dive In, helping high-performing students explore a career in commercial law.
- Lead elements of our social media and attraction strategy, bringing creativity, curiosity and new ideas to how we engage emerging talent.
- Design, project manage and deliver clerkship and graduate recruitment campaigns and development programs.
- Identify and building relationships with emerging talent, providing exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey
- Use data, insights, and technology to continuously improve our processes, programs and outcomes

This is a full-time maximum term contract for an initial period of 12 months to cover parental leave. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.

You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintain strong focus on stakeholder and candidate experience.

You will bring

- Experience in Early Careers recruitment, ideally within a law firm, professional services, or a similarly complex environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience working across multiple teams and functions
- Sound judgement, problem-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership and drive outcomes
- Confidence using technology and data to work smarter and deliver better outcomes
- A genuine passion for candidate experience and developing future talent
- A desire and ability to grow as a recruitment and HR professional.
- A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others.
