3Sixty5 Care is seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Greek-speaking Disability Support Workers to support an older gentleman living with dementia and progressive cognitive decline in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

The client requires respectful assistance with daily living, personal care, companionship, community access, and maintaining a safe and consistent routine.

Fluency in Greek is essential because it supports clear communication, cultural connection, familiarity, and comfort as the client’s cognitive condition progresses.

Key Responsibilities

- Communicate confidently with the client in Greek.
- Provide respectful companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with personal care, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, meals, and hydration.
- Support the client with mobility and daily living activities.
- Maintain a calm, safe, and familiar home environment.
- Follow consistent routines to reduce confusion, distress, and anxiety.
- Provide reminders and gentle prompts throughout the day.
- Support safe community access, appointments, shopping,



and social activities.
- Recognise changes in the client’s cognition, mood, behaviour, mobility, appetite, or general health.
- Respond calmly to confusion, agitation, resistance, wandering, or other dementia-related behaviours.
- Follow medication, health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Prepare suitable meals according to the client’s care plan and preferences.
- Complete shift notes, medication records, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately.
- Communicate professionally with the client’s family, supervisors, and wider care team.
- Maintain the client’s dignity, privacy, safety, cultural identity, and independence.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have

- Fluency in spoken Greek.
- An understanding of Greek culture, customs, food, and family values.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related qualification.
- Previous experience supporting older people living with dementia or cognitive decline.
- Knowledge of dementia care, memory loss, confusion, wandering, and behaviours of concern.
- Confidence providing personal care and mobility assistance.
- A calm, patient, respectful, and reassuring approach.
- Robust observation, communication, and documentation skills.
- The ability to recognise and report changes in the client’s health or behaviour.
- The ability to follow established care plans, routines, and procedures.
- Availability for weekday, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as required.

Experience in aged care, dementia support, medication administration,



continence care, manual handling, or culturally appropriate support will be highly regarded.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
- Medication Management Certificate.
- Valid Victorian Driver Licence.
- Reliable and roadworthy vehicle.
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance.
- Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Relevant qualification certificates.
- Current resume in PDF or Word format.
- COVID-19 vaccination evidence where required under company or placement policy
