Role Purpose:

The current Finance Team does not have sufficient capacity or capability to deliver several key finance functions. This role is required to strengthen the Finance function, address existing operational gaps and ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial outputs across the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the day-to-day financial management and reporting activities across the Group.

- Ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial information is provided to management and directors.

- Strengthen financial controls, processes, governance and accountability across all Group entities.

- Manage Group-level budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and financial performance analysis.

- Review financial work and reporting prepared for all Group-related entities, including operating companies, project entities, subsidiaries and trusts, to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and compliance with Group requirements.

- Coordinate consolidated financial reporting across operating companies, project entities and trusts.

- Oversee statutory, taxation and regulatory compliance, including requirements relating to the ATO, Revenue NSW and ASIC.

- Provide practical leadership and technical guidance to the Finance team.

- Partner with business leaders to support commercial decision-making, project performance.

- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems,



reporting processes and operational efficiency.

- Support senior management and external advisers with audits, tax planning, financing and other strategic matters.

Principal Tasks:

- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, Group consolidations, balance-sheet reconciliations and financial reports.

- Maintain oversight of, and review financial activities and outputs across, all Group-related entities.

- Develop annual budgets, periodic forecasts and long-term financial plans across the Group.

- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, investigate material variances and recommend corrective actions.

- Prepare cash-flow forecasts and monitor liquidity, funding requirements and significant financial commitments.

- Review project financial performance, including budgets, costs, commitments, cash flow, profitability and forecast outcomes.

- Establish and maintain appropriate approval limits, payment controls, delegations of authority and expenditure procedures.

- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee reimbursements, bank reconciliations and general-ledger activities.

- Ensure intercompany transactions, loans, management fees and balances are accurately recorded, reconciled and eliminated upon consolidation.

- Maintain oversight of BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, income tax, FBT, superannuation and other statutory obligations.

- Coordinate year-end financial statements, external audits and information required by tax, legal and qualified advisers.

- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure all financial lodgements, registrations and payments are completed accurately and on time.

- Review the Group’s entity structure and ensure accounting records are appropriately maintained for companies,



trusts and project entities.

- Develop and document finance policies, standard operating procedures, reporting templates and internal controls.

- Allocate work across the Finance team, establish clear deliverables and review completed work for accuracy and quality.

- Coach and support Finance team members, address performance or capability gaps and promote accountability.

- Improve the functionality and use of finance, payroll, expense-management and reporting systems. · Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and more efficient use of existing resources.

- Prepare financial analysis, and management reports to support executive decision-making.

- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax advisers, insurers, government authorities and other external stakeholders.

- Undertake other finance, commercial and governance duties reasonably required by the Group.

Industry Background

- Demonstrated experience in the property development, construction or real estate industry is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team of at least five employees.

- Sound understanding of project accounting, development costs, construction expenditure, project cash flow, cost-to-complete forecasting and profitability reporting.

- Experience working within a complex Group structure comprising multiple operating companies, subsidiaries, project entities and trusts.

- Familiarity with property and construction-related taxation, statutory compliance and financial-reporting requirements.

- Experience reviewing financial work and reporting across all Group-related entities.

- Experience with Jobpac or similar system would be advantageous.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.

- Full CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand membership is required.

- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including experience in a finance management or senior financial accounting position.
