About the role

We're looking for a skilled, reliable handyman to join the team. You'll be based mainly at the Southbank Cultural Precinct and work at our other Brisbane sites as needed. You'll work through a steady queue of maintenance work orders in ServiceM8, report each job with photos, and be the face of our business on site. Hours are 7:00am to 3:45pm Monday to Friday, with the occasional earlier start.

Key responsibilities

- Patch and paint: plaster and wall repairs, prep and finish painting

- Carpentry: doors, frames, skirting, architraves, shelving, general timber repairs

- Door hardware: handles, closers, hinges, lock furniture

- Tactile indicators, stair nosings, signage and fixings

- Silicone, minor tiling, and repairs to fixtures and fittings

- General building maintenance and make-safes

- Work through maintenance work orders.

- Report each job with photos

About you

- Proven handyman or maintenance experience, with solid patch and paint and carpentry skills
- A current open driver's licence and confidence driving a manual van
- A Construction White Card
- A National Police Check (required for site access)





- Well presented and friendly with customers

- Reliable and self-managing, able to work alone and get through a job list

- Comfortable using a phone app for job notes and photos and reporting

- Full working rights in Australia

- Trade qualification (Cert III Carpentry or Painting & Decorating) – highly regarded

- Working at Heights or EWP ticket – highly regarded

- Asbestos awareness – highly regarded

- Commercial or venue maintenance experience – highly regarded
