We want another handyman weapon!

We are a property maintenance company working for residential property managers across South East Queensland. Pimpama in the south, up to Mango Hill in the north, out to Ipswich in the west. We exist for one reason: to make a property manager's life easier. That is the goal, that is what we need on the ground, and that is it. $40 an hour + travel allowance. Company vehicle at the 6 months mark. Dealing with an owner that notices the small things you do for our clients and brand and will always get recognised.

Your job is thrilling, quick paced and always on the go. Several different jobs a day. Driving all around Brisbane. Being the lifesaver for each and every tenant and property manager.

We hired our first technician in August. He is going well and the work has grown. We need a second.

The role

- Maintenance Technician. Full time, 38 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
- General repairs on rental properties: doors, locks, hinges, carpentry, patching and painting, blinds, shelving, fences and gates, tap washers, cisterns, and Minimum Housing Standards work.
- South East Queensland: Pimpama to Mango Hill, out to Ipswich.
- Every job lands in Fergus with the scope, the address and the time. You update it live as you go.
- Before and after photos on every job. The property gets left cleaner than you found it. Not a nice to have. The standard.
- No garden work, no mowing. This is a repairs and maintenance role.

What you have to be.

- Property managers first. This is the whole reason we exist. A property manager's day is full of problems other people handed them. Our job is to take one off the pile and hand nothing back. Every update, every photo, every clean finish, every job that just gets done without a follow up call. If you understand that, you understand this business.
- Competitive. We keep score here. Jobs completed, jobs done right first time, property managers who ask for you by name. We compare, we push, and we get better every week. If being measured makes you uncomfortable, this will not work.
- Reliable.



We do what we say. Property managers plan their week around us turning up. This one is not negotiable.
- No shortcuts. Done right the first time. We do not rush a job to chase a bigger one and we do not cut a corner to save ten minutes.
- Honest, early. If something is wrong, if the scope is bigger than the sheet says, if you have made a mistake, you call. Straight away. We can fix almost anything except finding out late.
- Adaptable. No two properties, tenants or days are the same. Plans change, jobs get added, access falls through. The people who do well here roll with it and solve it on the spot instead of waiting to be told.
- Actually cares about the outcome. Not the hours logged, not the job marked complete. Whether the thing is genuinely fixed and whether the property manager can stop thinking about it. If you take pride in the result rather than the task, you will fit.
- Wants to build something. We are early, we are growing, and there is a lot still to build. We want someone who wants their fingerprints on it. Bring the better way of doing something and we will use it. The person who takes this on and pushes will run a crew, not a van.

What you need to bring

- Solid all round handyman and property maintenance experience. Trade background is a bonus, not a must. No licence required.
- Current Australian driver's licence and a reliable vehicle for the first few months.
- Your own power tools (cordless, this role runs on battery) and basic hand tools. We supply the bigger gear, PPE and your shirts.
- A phone that runs the Fergus app, charged and connected.
- Steel caps, and the standard of presentation you would take to a job interview. You are walking into people's homes.

What you get

- $40.00 per hour, tool allowance included, plus 12% super paid weekly, not quarterly.
- $80.00 per hour overtime. Double time.
- Company vehicle within 6 months. Fuel covered, limited private use. Until then, your own car at 91c per kilometre (ATO rate).
- 4 weeks annual leave, 10 days personal leave, weekends yours.
- A direct line to the owner and a real say in how this business gets built.
