Job Title: Head Barista – New Italian Deli Opening Soon

We are excited to be opening a brand-new Italian deli and café within the next 6 weeks, and we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead our coffee program from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve consistently high-quality coffee to a professional standard
- Lead, train, and mentor junior baristas and front-of-house team members
- Manage inventory, including ordering coffee beans, milk, and café supplies
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming café environment
- Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of the beverage menu
- Proactively engage with local businesses to build a loyal, repeat customer base
- Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency of the coffee station and service area

About You:

- Proven experience as a senior or head barista in a high-quality café environment




- Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and equipment maintenance
- Experience with inventory management and ordering systems
- A natural leader with excellent communication and training skills
- Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Organised, proactive, and able to take initiative in a startup environment
- Excited about contributing to the growth and success of a new business
