We’re seeking an exceptional events leader to bring together and elevate WA Cricket’s diverse events portfolio into one high-performing centralised function. From Perth Scorchers BBL and WBBL events, match day experiences at the WACA Ground to member functions, awards nights and major external events, you’ll be at the heart of creating memorable experiences that strengthen our brand, engage our stakeholders and support commercial success.

This pivotal leadership role will establish best practice event planning across the organisation, ensuring seamless delivery, outstanding stakeholder service and efficient use of resources. How you’ll make an impact

- Establish and lead a unified WA Cricket events function covering all major events.

- Engage in the development of strategic planning for the WACA Ground event program to drive engagement and growth.

- Act as the primary point of contact for event hirers and promoters, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the planning process.

- Provide day-to-day leadership, coordination and direction to the events team, including the Events Specialist and Venue Event Coordinator.

- Work with the CEO, Leadership Team and relevant departments to prioritise events that strengthen relationships, enhance reputation and support WA Cricket’s strategic objectives.

- Determine event requirements, scope,



and budgets in consultation with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

- Provide day-to-day leadership, coordination and direction to the events team.

A great fit for this role looks like

- Significant experience in event planning and delivery, ideally across sport, venue, hospitality, member, corporate or stakeholder environments.

- Demonstrated ability to lead an events function and coordinate multiple event streams.

- Strong stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail.

- Commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing event budgets.

- Ability to create consistent systems, processes and service standards across a diverse event portfolio together with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and event administration tools.

- Calm, practical and solutions-focused approach.
