We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a senior finance executive to lead finance partnering for a significant banking portfolio.
This is a high-impact leadership role operating at the intersection of strategy, performance and commercial decision-making. As a trusted adviser to executive leadership, you will influence the direction of a multi-billion-dollar business, providing insight and challenge across growth, profitability, capital allocation, investment decisions and long-term value creation.
Leading a team of finance professionals, you will drive the commercial agenda across a large and complex business while ensuring financial performance is clearly understood, communicated and embedded across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior finance adviser to executive leadership teams.
- Lead the financial strategy and performance agenda for a significant banking business.
- Provide insight and challenge across revenue growth, margins, productivity, investment prioritisation and strategic initiatives.
- Drive planning, forecasting and performance management to support executive decision making.
- Lead discussions around business performance, trade-offs and value creation opportunities.
- Influence major investment, transformation and growth decisions through rigorous commercial analysis.
- Develop and lead a high-performing finance team focused on partnership, influence and commercial outcomes.
- Partner across Finance, Treasury, Strategy and Business leadership to deliver sustainable performance.
About You You are a proven finance leader with deep experience within banking or financial services and a track record of partnering at executive level.
You will bring
- Extensive senior finance leadership experience within banking or broader financial services.
- Experience supporting large retail, business, institutional or wholesale banking portfolios.
- Proven ability to influence Executive Committees and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking capability.
- Experience leading high performing teams and developing future finance leaders.
- Deep understanding of profitability, balance sheet management, capital, funding and investment decision support.
- Outstanding communication skills with the gravitas to operate as a true business partner to executive leadership.
