We are seeking an experienced Head of Physical Security, Data Centres to establish and lead the physical security strategy, governance framework and operating model across our growing portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager, IT, Cyber and Security – Data Centres, this role will work closely with senior leaders across Critical Environments, Operations, Design, Construction, Digital Integration, Property and Enterprise Security.

This is a unique opportunity to build and mature a security function from the ground up while influencing the design, construction and operation of some of Australia's most critical digital infrastructure.

Head of IT and Cyber, Data Centres

Goodman is looking for a senior technology leader to shape and lead the IT, OT and cyber capability supporting our growing data centre portfolio.

This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for defining the technology roadmap, architecture, operating model and cyber security standards for mission-critical data centre environments. You will lead the design and governance of resilient, secure and scalable IT and OT infrastructure,



supporting data centre development, commissioning and 24/7 operations.

Working closely with senior leaders, project teams, vendors and technology partners, you will help set the standard for how Goodman designs, builds, secures and operates technology across its data centre platform.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Developing the Data Centre Technology strategy, roadmap and operating model
- Defining IT, OT, cloud and cyber security architecture standards
- Leading technology workstreams across new data centre developments
- Establishing support models for 24/7 operational environments
- Managing strategic vendors, service providers and technology partners
- Supporting cyber security, compliance, audit and assurance requirements
- Driving standardisation, automation and continuous improvement across platforms and systems

What We’re Looking For

- Senior experience leading technology strategy, governance and operating models in mission-critical environments essential
- Solid understanding of hyperscale or co-location data centre technology, systems and infrastructure
- Advanced technical knowledge across IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, compute, storage, virtualisation and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience with operational technology environments, including BMS, EPMS, SCADA, physical access control and CCTV
- Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks and their application to data centre operations and customer assurance requirements




- Experience managing ISO 27001-certified or equivalent information security management frameworks
- Familiarity with Australian critical infrastructure, cyber and regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience managing complex technology projects across multiple vendors, integrators and internal teams
- Strong vendor management, commercial negotiation and service management experience
- Confident communication style, with the ability to advise senior leaders, customers and technical teams
