Heavy Haulage Equipment Mechanic

Wind Farm Project – Pilbara, WA

WA Specialised Transport Projects are seeking experienced Heavy Haulage Equipment Mechanics for a major wind farm construction project in regional Western Australia. This role involves the maintenance, servicing and repair of specialised heavy haulage equipment used for transporting over-dimensional wind turbine components utilising platform and blade trailers, Goldhofer and Noteboom.

This is an exciting prospect to be part of Australia’s growing renewable energy sector. You will play a key role in maintaining the safety and reliability of the fleet in delivering critical wind turbine components to one of the region’s major wind farm developments.

This position is offered on a: 2:1 Roster Remote Camp Based, or 28:9 Roster Port Hedland Camp Based.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Current and unrestricted HR Drivers Licence.
- Current Commercial Drivers Medical Certificate.
- Current Fatigue Management Certificate.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Haulage Equipment Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
- Strong hands-on experience servicing and repairing platform trailers, blade trailers, low loaders, and multi-axle heavy haulage combinations.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance, fault finding, hydraulic system repairs,



and brake & suspension work on specialised transport equipment.
- Experience working on Volvo, KW, Goldhofer, Nooteboom, Drake, Scheuerle and blade trailers highly regarded.
- Remote site and field service experience (off-road / dirt road conditions).
- Trade qualifications - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
- Must pass and maintain a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen.
