About the Role

Bene Aged Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Driver - Mini Bus (8-10 Seater) to join our Community Services team on a casual basis across metropolitan Adelaide.

n

This rewarding role supports older people to maintain their independence and social connections by providing safe and reliable transport to appointments, centre-based activities and community outings.

n

You will be responsible for operating a Bene mini bus, ensuring passengers are transported safely, comfortably and respectfully while delivering exceptional customer service.

n

Roster: Monday to Friday, 21.5 hours per week. Morning transport runs from 8:30am to 10:30am (Monday & Friday) and 8:30am to 11:00am (Tuesday to Thursday), with afternoon transport runs from 2:00pm to 4:00pm each weekday.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Safely operate an 8-10 seater minibus across metropolitan Adelaide
n
- Transport clients to appointments, centre-based activities and social outings
n
- Assist clients to safely enter and exit the vehicle where required
n
- Support older people to maintain independence and social connections
n
- Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
n
- Follow client support plans and organisational procedures
n




- Maintain accurate records and incident reporting documentation
n
- Liaise with coordinators regarding transport schedules and client requirements
n
- Adhere to all road safety requirements and safe driving practices
n
- Deliver professional, respectful and customer-focused service at all times
n

About You

n

You are caring, dependable and enjoy working with older people. You have excellent driving skills, a professional approach and robust customer service abilities.

Essential

n

n
- Current unrestricted South Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Demonstrated safe driving record
n
- Current First Aid Certificate
n
- Current National Police Check
n
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Ability to operate mobile phones and basic technology systems
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety
n

Desirable

n

n
- Previous experience driving a mini bus or passenger vehicle
n
- Previous experience in aged care, community services or disability services
n
- Experience transporting clients or consumers
n
- Good knowledge of metropolitan Adelaide roads and suburbs
n
- Italian language skills highly regarded
n
