About the role

Reporting to the Clubhouse Manager, you will lead the Front of House and Events operation, with direct responsibility for the Food & Beverage supervisory team, Events & Functions Coordinator and casual Food & Beverage employees. You will work closely with the Head Chef and other Club departments to ensure dining, functions and Member hospitality are delivered as one coordinated operation. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to shape a newly defined hospitality structure, develop a capable supervisory team and drive greater consistency in the Member and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the daily Clubhouse Food & Beverage and Events operation with a visible, hands-on management presence.
- Drive consistent Member and guest service standards across dining, bars, functions and major Club events.
- Lead, coach and develop supervisors and the wider team, including rostering, recruitment, performance management and succession planning.
- Oversee operational readiness, beverage and stock controls, opening and closing procedures, labour management and service systems.
- Work with the Events & Functions Coordinator to ensure events are accurately planned, handed over and delivered to the agreed standard.




- Partner with the Head Chef and Kitchen team on service timing, menus, dietary requirements, functions and the overall Member dining experience.
- Monitor labour, stock, wastage, beverage performance and operating results while maintaining liquor, safety and Club compliance requirements.

About you

- Proven hospitality management experience in a private Club, premium hotel, restaurant, events venue or similarly service-focused environment.
- Demonstrated success leading supervisors and a mixed permanent and casual workforce.
- Strong Member/customer service judgement and the confidence to manage service recovery and sensitive interactions professionally.
- Robust operational discipline across rostering, labour, beverage, stock control, functions and day-to-day service delivery.
- Commercial awareness, excellent communication and organisation skills, and a collaborative but accountable leadership approach.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and key Club events as required.
