Host – Food & Beverage at Hyatt House South Melbourne

We are looking for a Host – Food & Beverage to join the team at Hyatt House South Melbourne. We are a small team doing big things, and every person plays an important role. This is a great entry-level role for someone looking to build a career in hospitality, with future opportunities to cross-train in other departments.

The role is primarily focused on Food & Beverage service, with an emphasis on warm, personal guest interactions and creating a smooth dining experience. The role will also include some Front Office duties, including guest check-ins and check-outs where required, helping provide a seamless experience across the hotel.

- Greet guests, present menus, take orders, and serve food and drinks
- Provide friendly, personalised service
- Open, set up, and close the outlet
- Know the menu and ingredients well
- Keep work areas clean and organised throughout service
- Support guest check-ins, check-outs and basic Front Office enquiries where required




- Support your teammates and communicate clearly

Your background: To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:

- Previous Food & Beverage experience in a hotel or fast-paced environment
- A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate
- A genuine interest in hospitality and guest service
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Able to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly
- Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Right to work in Australia
