About the Role The housekeeping team plays an important role in creating a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard.

Working in the housekeeping role, you will work as part of a team in a fast-paced hostel environment, meet people from all walks of life and help create a positive experience for our guests. You will need to be organised, reliable and take pride in your work, while being able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

The role is hands-on and active, with a variety of daily tasks including cleaning rooms and bathrooms, making beds, maintaining common areas and responding to the changing needs of a busy hostel.

Position is causal and paid under the hospitality award

What you will do

- Clean guest rooms, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard
- Make beds and prepare rooms for incoming guests




- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- Follow cleaning procedures, OH&S; and safety requirements
- Complete daily shift-based tasks efficiently
- Communicate professionally with guests and team members
- Work as part of the housekeeping team and support other departments when required
- Report maintenance issues, damages or hazards

About you

- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable with physical and fast-paced work
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability, able to work days, evenings, including weekends and public holidays
- Positive communication skills and a friendly approach to guests
- Have working rights in Australia
- Ability to work 20 - 30 hours a week
