The Role

At QT Melbourne, the rooms are part of the experience and the Housekeeping team is the reason they stay that way. We're looking for a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the team keeping our 188 designer rooms in the kind of condition that makes guests stop and take notice. This is a permanent, full-time role with a minimum guaranteed 38 hours per week.

You'll be hands-on, organised and genuinely invested in the people around you, someone who holds the standard,



develops the team and makes sure every room is exactly right before the next guest walks through the door.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support Room Attendants, Housepersons and Public Area Cleaners throughout each shift, ensuring rooms are serviced and cleaned to the highest standard within allocated timeframes.
- Check all rooms as Attendants report them clean, update room status accurately in the hotel system and liaise closely with Reception regarding any changes, specials or guest requirements.
- Balance team working schedules to maintain productivity and efficiency across the Housekeeping department, monitoring daily attendance, timekeeping, sick leave and annual leave.
- Train, develop and support team members, ensuring all staff are familiar with hotel policies, procedures and the Team Handbook.
- Take responsibility for the full management of the Housekeeping department in the Executive Housekeeper's absence, maintaining all established standards and safety priorities.
- Replenish and control guest supplies, report any health and safety hazards promptly and uphold all WHS guidelines at all times.
- Create a positive, high-morale work environment where the team feels supported, valued and motivated to perform at their best.

What You'll Bring

- Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within a hotel environment, ideally at a premium or luxury property.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage schedules, room allocations and team priorities across a busy department.
- A genuine commitment to cleanliness,



presentation standards and guest satisfaction.
- Confidence leading, training and developing a diverse housekeeping team.
- Impeccable personal presentation and a warm, professional manner when interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Full knowledge of WHS practices and a proactive approach to health and safety compliance.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays as required.
