As part of our continued growth, Coastal Transport Services has expanded into the local area and is seeking experienced Rigid and Semi Drivers to join our team on an exciting new transport contract. Operating a brand-new fleet of trucks, you'll enjoy stable, ongoing work with the support of an experienced operations team and a company that values safety, teamwork and professionalism.

Heavy Rigid Driver – HR HIAB

Requirements

- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence with demonstrated on-road driving experience.
- Current CV (Vehicle Loading Crane) High Risk Work Licence, with experience.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual unloading of freight when required.
- Ability to safely operate a HIAB crane and secure loads in accordance with company procedures.

Heavy Combination Driver – HC HIAB

Requirements

- Current Heavy Combination (HC) Licence with demonstrated on-road driving experience.
- Current CV (Vehicle Loading Crane) High Risk Work Licence, with experience.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual unloading of freight when required.
- Ability to safely operate a HIAB crane and secure loads in accordance with company procedures.

What you'll be doing

- Safely operate heavy vehicles to deliver freight across the local area.
- Complete deliveries safely, on time and with exceptional customer service.
- Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately.
- Load and unload freight using a HIAB crane and manual handling techniques where required.




- Secure loads and comply with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR), road transport legislation and company safety procedures.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient daily schedules.

What we're looking for

- Hold current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) Licence with on-road experience, experience carting steel/mesh is highly regarded.
- CV/C6 licence and crane experience required- or willingness to obtain in early stages of employment, company funded.
- Demonstrated experience securing and restraining loads, with a solid understanding of load restraint requirements and safe transport practices – essential
- Reliable and professional, with strong communication and time management skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to meet delivery schedules and promptly communicate any delays or issues.
- Strong commitment, focus and knowledge of road safety and transport regulations

- White Card
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (fitness to drive) and drug & alcohol screening
- Applicants must be able to provide a current driving record issued by Service NSW
