Remuneration: $118,821.00 - $140,201.00 per annum, pro rata (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About the Role The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) works collaboratively with the Senior HRBPs, managers and staff to develop and implement an HR agenda which addresses key workforce challenges and supports the achievement of MLHD workforce strategic goals. The role promotes HR practices and people management to achieve organisational success.

The role collaborates with key stakeholders to provide proactive generalist Human Resources advice on organisational issues including recruitment, policy interpretation, awards and employment related legislation, management of grievances, disciplinary processes, and position evaluation/grading.

Key Accountabilities

- Provide high level timely advice, support, guidance and coaching in workforce issues including change management, performance management, policy interpretation and implementation, discipline, grievance management, misconduct matters and workplace conflict.
- Provide influential HR consultancy and advice to leaders to implement strategies and interventions that focus on improving employee engagement and organisational capability that support the achievement of business objectives.
- Provide regular reports and analysis of information/data, including the maintenance of HR systems (i.e. SCR, Issues log, MoH reporting).
- Foster a cooperative engagement approach with clients to embed a coaching culture and improve the leadership and people capability of MLHD to achieve its strategic objective
- Participate in the MLHD grading process and support managers in the process of grading.




- Participate and contribute within the P&C; team to enable key workforce priorities and service deliverables to be achieved (i.e. workplace planning, performance management, succession planning).
- Develop and deliver training and one-on-one sessions in human resource issues.
- Undertake straightforward investigations (e.g. privacy breaches), recommend actions, and assist senior HR staff in more complex investigations as required.

Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in human resources or a related field and/or equivalent experience as part of a human resources service in a large and complex organisation.
- All staff are required to complete and submit a Pre-employment Health Declaration Form.
- Capacity and willingness, including a current driver's licence, to travel throughout the locations within MLHD, which may include overnight stays in regional/remote areas.
- Vaccination in line with the NSW Health Policy on Occupational Assessment and Vaccination for Category B staff.
- National Police Check.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated recent experience in human resources with proven ability to interpret and apply legislation, award and policy in a large and complex organisation.
- Proven high level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in consultation and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including participation in industrial matters.




- Demonstrated excellent relationship management skills and the ability to work productively with a range of stakeholders to provide quality client-focused services.
- Proven high level oral and written skills, with the ability to structure documents that are clear, factual and guide the reader to a decision (i.e. decision memorandums, investigation reports, reports and disciplinary letters).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders from senior management, staff, industrial associations and other key stakeholders, including being a proven team player.
- Proven broad experience in contemporary human resource best practice in a complex organisation with an understanding of industrial frameworks.
