Service Manager – HVAC & Electrical

Lead, develop and grow our WA service team.

Total Data Centre Services (TDCS) is seeking an experienced Service Manager – HVAC & Electrical to lead and help grow our service operations across Western Australia.

This is a key leadership position within TDCS, with responsibility for supporting our technicians, managing day-to-day service delivery and continuing to develop a strong, reliable and customer-focused service department.

With TDCS continuing to grow across the data centre, critical infrastructure and mining sectors, we are looking for someone who wants to play an key part in the next stage of our service department’s growth.

Total Data Centre Services is a growing Australian business specialising in the operation and support of critical infrastructure.

Our capabilities include HVAC and precision cooling, electrical infrastructure, UPS and battery systems, standby power, communications, controls and BMS integration.

We support clients across data centres, mining, commercial facilities and other critical environments where reliability, safety and response are essential.

Our WA service department continues to expand, and we are focused on building a strong team culture where technicians and management work together, share knowledge and support each other to deliver a high standard of service.

The Role

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation and continued development of the WA service department.

A major part of the role is supporting the technicians in the field and creating an environment where the team has the resources, information and direction needed to perform at its best.





You will also work closely with TDCS management and our clients to improve service delivery, strengthen existing relationships and identify opportunities to grow our maintenance and service capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, support and develop our team of HVAC technicians and electricians.
- Manage daily scheduling, technician allocation and service priorities.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and reactive service call-outs.
- Provide technical and operational support to technicians in the field.
- Build a positive team environment based on communication, accountability and mutual support.
- Assist with the recruitment, development and ongoing training of service personnel as the department grows.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and understand their ongoing service requirements.
- Help identify opportunities to expand TDCS maintenance contracts and service capabilities.
- Monitor service performance, response times and quality of work.
- Coordinate subcontractors and specialist service providers where required.
- Ensure service reports, maintenance documentation and client records are completed to a high standard.
- Work closely with other TDCS departments to ensure a consistent level of support for our clients.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance across all service activities.

About You

We are looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with strong people-management skills.





You will ideally have

- A relevant HVAC/refrigeration, mechanical or electrical trade background.
- Experience managing or supervising technicians within a service or maintenance environment.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC and/or electrical systems.
- Experience within data centres, mining, commercial facilities or critical infrastructure would be highly regarded.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- A practical approach to solving technical and operational problems.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- The ability to build relationships with both technicians and customers.
- An understanding of secure power, UPS systems, batteries, BMS or controls would be advantageous.
