The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate retail leader to join our leadership team at Hype DC Parramatta! As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in bringing our brand vision to life, building a high-performance and people-first culture, creating memorable customer experiences, and driving operational excellence across the store.
Working closely with your Area Manager and Store Manager, you’ll help lead a high-performing team, maximise sales and business results, and create an workplace where our people can thrive and grow.

The Role & Responsibilities
- Build a WORLD CLASS team and create a MAGICAL VIBE within the store.
- Support the leadership of a multimillion-dollar retail business, driving sales performance and key financial metrics.
- Bring the Hype DC brand vision and strategy to life across all areas of the store.
- Keep the customer at the heart of every decision and consistently deliver MEMORABLE customer experiences.
- Create a people-first culture by empowering, developing and recognising talent within your team.
- Coach, motivate and inspire your team to achieve individual and store-wide goals.
- Support recruitment, selection, onboarding and ongoing development of team members.
- Deliver a seamless omni-channel experience for our customers, including the accurate and efficient preparation of online orders.
- Ensure the store is consistently best in class through strong visual merchandising and presentation standards.
- Maintain a store environment that is both FUN and SAFE for our customers and team.
- Partner with your Store Manager and Area Manager to identify opportunities and continuously improve store performance.
- Support effective roster management and wage control to achieve business targets.
- Maintain strong operational and loss prevention standards across the store.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will:
- Be a passionate and experienced retail leader who strives for excellence across Sales, Operations and Loss Prevention.
- Have proven experience delivering best-in-class customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Be an inspiring coach who can motivate, develop and elevate a large team of brand ambassadors.
- Have previous experience in a Retail Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager role.
- Bring a motivated and driven “Make It Happen” attitude to everything you do.
- Be commercially minded, with the ability to identify missed opportunities and a proven track record of driving sales and KPIs.
- Have strong organisational skills and experience effectively managing rosters and achieving wage control.
- Be a collaborative team player who thrives in a high-energy environment.
- Have a genuine passion for people, retail, sneakers, fashion and the Hype DC brand.
