As an ICT Manager with Information Technology Partners (ITP), you'll lead critical technology services that support thousands of users across seven Queensland Government agencies. This is an opportunity to shape strategic technology outcomes, influence investment decisions, build high-performing teams and drive service excellence at enterprise scale.

While the current opportunity sits within our Infrastructure Directorate, we're seeking experienced ICT leaders from a broad range of disciplines including infrastructure, cloud, digital platforms, workplace technology, applications and shared services.

The prospect

ICT Manager in ITP lead the delivery, modernisation, optimisation and governance of enterprise technology services across DPI and ITP partner agencies. The immediate vacancy is within ITP's Infrastructure Directorate however, we are interested in people with broad ICT leadership capability and transferable skills in infrastructure, cloud, workplace technology, platform, application development, or shared technology service domains.

Working in a large and complex multi-agency ICT environment, the ICT Manager roles are accountable for reliable, secure and cost-effective infrastructure and platform service outcomes, ensuring services meet agreed service levels, capacity and availability requirements,



business priorities and relevant Queensland Government standards.

As An ICT Manager, You Will

- Lead the strategy, modernisation, operational governance and performance of assigned ICT services, balancing reliability, security, customer outcomes, technical sustainability and value for money.

- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, build workforce capability, foster accountability, support responsible AI adoption and create a high-performing, inclusive and improvement-focused culture.

- Own and continuously improve service performance against agreed service levels, partner agency objectives, security requirements and whole-of-government standards.

- Prioritise and allocate people, supplier and technical resources to manage service continuity, capacity, availability, demand, operational risk and partner agency priorities.

- Lead strategic consultation, negotiation and issue resolution with senior leaders, partner agencies, service providers, vendors and other agencies to shape service outcomes and investment decisions.

- Translate service performance, operational risk, architecture direction, technology lifecycle and emerging industry capabilities into practical roadmaps, investment priorities and measurable service improvements.

- Champion contemporary ICT practices, including cloud adoption,



automation, observability, service resilience and responsible use of artificial intelligence where these deliver demonstrable business and customer value.

- Build and sustain strategic relationships across ITP, partner agencies, business areas and suppliers to align technology services with business priorities and improve customer outcomes.

- Provide authoritative advice through high-level submissions, proposals, briefings and reports on complex technology risks, service performance, investment options and improvement priorities.

- Lead or coordinate ICT input to major incident, event or emergency responses, including after-hours escalation where required, to maintain service continuity and minimise business impact.

- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing.

Essential Requirements

What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)

- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage multidisciplinary ICT teams, foster a high-performance culture, build workforce capability and deliver organisational outcomes.

- Significant experience leading complex enterprise infrastructure or platform services across multiple technology domains, balancing operational reliability, security, service performance, modernisation and customer outcomes.
