Looking for Project Implementation Manager - Brisbane - 6 Months contract Your New Company: Our client, QLD State Government, is undertaking a major workforce transformation initiative through the Integrated Workforce Management (IWFM) Program. This strategic program aims to enhance workforce planning, rostering, payroll integration, and operational efficiencies across the state's public health system. The organisation is committed to delivering modern digital solutions that improve workforce management and support better service delivery outcomes.
Your New Role: As a Project Implementation Manager, you will lead and manage the implementation of a large-scale electronic rostering solution across multiple sites. You will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, stakeholder engagement, governance, risk management, resource planning, and change adoption activities.
Key responsibilities include: Leading the successful delivery of ICT-enabled business change initiatives.
Managing multi-disciplinary project teams and providing strong leadership throughout implementation activities.
Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, governance structures, and reporting frameworks.
Collaborating with business stakeholders, change specialists, and technical teams to support implementation outcomes.
Monitoring project performance, risks, issues, budgets, and deliverables.
Building and maintaining productive relationships with senior stakeholders and vendors.
Driving change adoption through effective communication and engagement strategies.
Ensuring project delivery aligns with established project management methodologies and organisational standards.
Representing the program at site, executive, and statewide stakeholder forums.
Supporting continuous improvement through lessons learned and advantages realisation activities.
This role requires regular intrastate travel and may involve temporary assignments across various Queensland locations throughout the project lifecycle.
What You Will Need To Succeed: Proven experience managing and delivering large-scale ICT-enabled business transformation projects.
Strong project management expertise, including governance, risk, issue, resource, financial, and stakeholder management.
Experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across complex organisational environments.
Experience applying recognised project management methodologies and tools.
Knowledge of workforce management, HR, rostering, payroll, or related enterprise systems will be highly regarded.
Ability to travel regularly throughout Queensland and work on-site at implementation locations as required.
