About the RoleSchlam is looking for an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team on a permanent basis. You'll work in our coating facility, preparing and finishing steel surfaces to the highest standards using hand tools, power tools, abrasive blasting, and a range of coating techniques. This role offers competitive remuneration, and you'll be part of a team that takes safety, quality, and precision seriously.

This is a day-shift position working 6am - 4pm (10 hours) Monday to Thursday, with an early finish of 2pm (8 hours) on Friday and opportunities for overtime with penalty rates as required.

About You:

- Proven experience as an industrial painter with demonstrated competency in coating application techniques
- Hands-on expertise in surface preparation, including abrasive blasting and the application of protective coatings
- Ability to operate and maintain spray equipment, blasting units,



and calibration tools with attention to micron thickness and quality standards
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, including confined space entry, working at heights, and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Reliable, organised approach to work with the ability to complete job logs, quality control checklists, and safety documentation accurately

In addition, you will bring
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation & Coating Application (desirable)
- Current and valid driver’s licence.
- High Risk Work Licence – LF (desirable)
- Secure Working at Heights permit (willing to obtain)
- Elevated Work Platform License
