Starting Salary £40,000.00

Location Dundee

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in 15 days at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy

We're looking for an Infrastructure & Security Engineer to help protect and improve the technology services that support world leading research. If you're passionate about cyber security, modern infrastructure and solving technical challenges, we'd love to hear from you.

Working as part of the IT team, you will play a key role in cyber security operations, vulnerability management, cyber risk management, endpoint security and infrastructure security across our on-premises and cloud environments. You will help protect systems, data and users from evolving cyber threats while supporting secure and effective technology services across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

- Monitoring and responding to cyber security threats, vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Supporting cyber risk management, compliance and security assurance activities.
- Managing and improving endpoint security using Microsoft Intune and related technologies.
- Supporting the secure operation of Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
- Contributing to cyber security assurance, compliance and resilience initiatives.
- Delivering infrastructure and security improvements that enhance organisational security and service reliability.

What We're Looking For

- Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in a complex environment.
- Experience working in a cyber security or security focused technology role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability remediation and patch management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
