Installer / Tradesperson – Civil & Commercial Construction

About the role KORB SA Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced, hands-on Installer / Tradesperson to join our South Australian operations.

This is a permanent full-time, site-based role working across civil, infrastructure and major commercial construction projects throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia.

The role is focused on the installation of prefabricated metalwork, infrastructure, access and safety products across a wide range of construction environments.

Typical installations include bollards, bicycle parking systems, wheel stops, carpark accessories, tactile ground surface indicators, stair nosings, entrance matting and other fabricated metal products.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable being given a scope of work and taking responsibility for getting the job completed from site set-out through to final installation.

You will work closely with Project Managers, builders and site teams, but will be expected to manage your own day-to-day work, organise what is required on site and work through practical installation issues without needing constant supervision.

Key responsibilities

- Take ownership of allocated installation works from set-out through to completion.
- Accurately measure, mark out and set out installation locations from drawings, specifications and site conditions.
- Install prefabricated metalwork and infrastructure products across commercial, civil and infrastructure projects.
- Install bollards, bicycle racks, bicycle parking systems, wheel stops and other carpark and access products.
- Install Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs), stair nosings and associated safety products.
- Install entrance matting systems and other specialist construction products where required.
- Drill, fix and anchor products into concrete, asphalt and other substrates.
- Install chemical and mechanical anchoring systems.
- Carry out core drilling,



concrete drilling, cutting and grinding associated with installation works.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications and installation details.
- Check dimensions, levels and site conditions before commencing work.
- Identify clashes, discrepancies or site issues and work through practical solutions with project management where required.
- Coordinate the tools, materials and equipment required to complete allocated works.
- Liaise directly with builders, Site Managers and client representatives regarding access, sequencing and installation requirements.
- Assist with coordinating or directing other installers, casual personnel and subcontractors where required.
- Check completed installations for alignment, finish and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain tools and equipment and ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.

About you We are looking for someone practical, reliable and confident working independently on construction sites.

You will ideally have

- A minimum of 2–3 years' relevant experience in civil construction, commercial construction, metalwork installation, infrastructure installation or a related trade environment.
- Strong hands-on installation skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for your own allocated works.
- Experience installing prefabricated metal products, bollards, bicycle parking, carpark products, TGSIs or similar construction products would be highly regarded.
- Strong measuring and set-out skills.




- The ability to confidently read construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Experience with chemical and mechanical anchoring.
- Experience drilling and fixing into concrete and asphalt.
- Experience with core drilling, concrete drilling, cutting and grinding.
- Good practical problem-solving skills.
- Confidence dealing directly with builders, supervisors and other site personnel.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the finished installation.
- Experience coordinating or providing direction to other installers would be advantageous.
- Current Construction Industry White Card.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- RIW Card highly advantageous.
- A Working with Children Check and National Police Check will be required.
