About the job

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Lawyer (0–3 years PAE) to join our growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career lawyer looking to develop their technical expertise across estate planning and administration, corporate and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property.

Working closely with experienced practitioners, you will gain exposure to a broad range of client matters while building the skills and commercial acumen required to progress into a future leadership position within the Estates division. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys client interaction, and is looking for a long-term career pathway.

What you'll do

- Assist with estate planning and administration matters, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, testamentary trusts, probate applications, and estate administration documentation.
- Support senior lawyers on estate disputes and complex succession planning matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements and legal documents.
- Assist with corporate and commercial transactions, including business sales and acquisitions, restructures, and due diligence activities.
- Support clients with intellectual property matters, including trademark applications, licensing arrangements, and protection of intellectual property rights.
- Conduct legal research and prepare advice on a range of estates, commercial, and corporate law matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing practical, commercially focused legal support.




- Collaborate with colleagues across legal, accounting, wealth, and advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Contribute positively to the growth and development of the Estates division and broader legal practice.
- Maintain compliance with professional obligations, firm policies, and applicable legislation.

What you'll bring

- Admitted (or eligible for admission) as a legal practitioner in Australia.
- Between 0 and 3 years' post-qualification experience, ideally with some exposure to estates, commercial law, corporate transactions, or intellectual property.
- Strong interest in developing a career within estate planning and succession law.
- Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with clients and stakeholders.
- A commercial mindset and willingness to learn across multiple areas of legal practice.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to take ownership of your professional development.
- A collaborative team player who values knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
- Aspiration to grow into a future leadership role within the practice.
