- Provide culturally protected and high-quality primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Conduct health assessments, examinations and appropriate health screening.
- Provide treatment, health education, preventative health care and health promotion.
- Undertake appropriate case management and follow-up care.
- Contribute to holistic and culturally informed models of health care.
- Support continuity of care and appropriate referral pathways for clients.
- Work collaboratively as part of a small multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and maintain positive and respectful relationships with clients, families and community members.
- Communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people and communities.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and timely clinical records.
- Use Communicare or other relevant clinical information systems appropriately.
- Participate in outreach services across the Northern and Southern Goldfields regions.
- Travel regularly to remote and regional communities and stay overnight as required.
- Participate in health promotion, community engagement and other Mobile Clinic activities.
- Comply with clinical standards, organisational policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Mobile Clinic services.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must have:

- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.




- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people and communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of the unique health issues and challenges impacting Aboriginal people.
- Demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge in multidisciplinary teamwork and conflict management.
- Sound written, computer and communication skills, together with demonstrated organisational and time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs.
- Ability and willingness to undertake regular outreach travel, including stays of up to four nights at a time.

Applicants must also have:

- Current Working with Children Check (WA).
- National Criminal History Check / Police Clearance valid within the last three months.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to obtain an MR or HR driver's licence.

Desirable Criteria

- Experience working in Community Health or Aboriginal Health.
- Current Immunisation Certificate.
- Current Phlebotomy competency and evidence of currency of practice.
- Knowledge and experience using Communicare or a similar clinical database system.
- Experience working in a mobile, outreach or remote health service.
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team.
- Knowledge of health issues affecting Aboriginal communities in regional and remote Western Australia.
