We have an exciting opportunity for three (3) dedicated Labourer – Parks to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Working to a scheduled maintenance program to establish, upgrade, and maintain landscaped gardens, lawns, public parks, open spaces, and roadside verges.
- Performing landscape and horticultural maintenance activities to a high standard while maintaining productivity and environmental awareness.
- Operating small plant, equipment, vehicles, trucks, and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Undertaking daily routine servicing and safety checks of plant and equipment.
- Communicating professionally with members of the public and Council staff.
- Assisting with the general upkeep and maintenance of Council depots.
- Providing excellent customer service and assisting in resolving customer enquiries.
- Attending required training, workshops, and development programs.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring corporate information is captured within Council business systems in accordance with recordkeeping requirements.
- Undertaking other duties as directed.

What We Are Looking For:

- Current Qld Light Rigid (LR) class drivers’ licence with the ability to independently drive between business locations to meet operational needs.
- Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card (White Card).
- Working in Proximity to Traffic - Awareness Part 1 & Part 2 (or equivalent), or willingness and ability to obtain.




- Good writing and communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability and a physical capacity to undertake a variety of strenuous labouring tasks in a tropical environment associated with horticultural landscape maintenance activities.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the driving of trucks with trailers, the operation of small plant and the ability to perform associated daily routine servicing and safety checks.
- An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S;), Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) and Environmental Issues relevant to Landscape and Horticultural Maintenance Activities.
