Job Description

Westpac Group seeks a Lead Data Scientist to steer fraud and financial-crime data science across detection, monitoring and investigation capabilities. You will set direction, ensure explainability and governance, and lead senior practitioners without direct line management.

The portfolio spans AML/CTF, entity resolution, NLP, GenAI, graphs and anomaly detection; you will shape standards, governance and material model reviews in a large enterprise workplace.
