Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced High Voltage Technician to join Powertech supporting our Brisbane branch office on a Full time permanent basis.

About The Role

n

n
- Commissioning and testing HV protections systems.
n
- Commissioning and testing HV Plant.
n
- Commissioning and Testing Power Generation Systems.
n
- Protection Relay Testing.
n




- HV Primary and secondary system testing in a substation environment.
n
- Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
n
- Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.
n
- Knowledge of HV/LV Transformer Testing (i.e. Tan Delta/Turns Ratio/SFRA/Dirana/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance, Oil Sampling)

About You

n

n
- Unrestricted QLD Electrical Fitter and Mechanic Workers License.
n
- Minimum 2years' experience.
n
- Valid Driver's License.
n
- HV Switching Ticket preferred.
n
- Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
n
- Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
n
- Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
