Role Description The Legal Secretary will provide dedicated administrative and legal support to lawyers handling personal injury matters, ensuring files are well-organized and deadlines are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and formatting legal documents, managing correspondence, maintaining case files, and handling client calls and emails in a professional manner. The role involves diary management, scheduling appointments, booking hearings and meetings, and tracking critical dates across multiple matters.

The Legal

Secretary will also assist with data entry, document filing, and liaison with courts, insurers, and other stakeholders as required.





This is a full-time remote role, requiring reliable availability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a dispersed legal team.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of law and personal injury practice areas, with the ability to understand legal terminology and case processes.
- Experience in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading letters, court forms, and client documents.
- Background as a legal assistant or legal secretary, supporting solicitors or legal teams in a law firm or similar workplace.
- Strong clerical skills, including data entry, file management (electronic and paper), and accurate record-keeping.
- Effective diary management abilities, including scheduling, coordinating meetings, and tracking deadlines across multiple matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to client interaction.
- High level of organization, time management, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, remote work setting.
- Proficiency with legal practice management software, Microsoft Office or similar tools; comfort working in a digital environment.
- Previous experience in personal injury, compensation, or litigation law is highly regarded.
- Relevant qualification in legal studies, business administration, or equivalent practical experience.
