working a 10 on / 4 off roster.

NOTE: Roster may vary depending on the season/weather conditions and changes are at the discretion of the business.

Responsibilities:

- Daily livestock handling including stock movements, trough/pen cleaning and maintenance, induction process, and incoming/outgoing stock movements

- Diagnosis of animal health symptoms

- Administration of animal health treatments including accurate record keeping

- Pen riding and conducting paddock checks
- Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia Policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, and Animal Welfare & Environmental Obligations

Criteria:

- Previous experience working with livestock

- Preferred Good Working Dogs both cattle and lambs ( Not Essential)

- Preferred Access to Suitable Horses and Tack (Not Essential)

- Communication, organisational & interpersonal skills

- Strong commitment to animal welfare, health and nutrition

- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team setting

- Ability & willingness to learn new skills

Hourly rate - $35-$38 per hour + superannuation + horse allowance based on skills and expereince.
