About the role:

Join the City of Swan as a Loader Operator within out Construction and Maintenance team and play a hands-on role in building and maintaining the infrastructure our community relies on. You'll operate a Loader across construction and maintenance projects, from gravel pit works to depot yard operations, while supporting a range of civil engineering tasks including roads, drains, footpaths and other essential assets. Working alongside our Engineering Construction team, you'll help keep the City moving safely and efficiently, directly improving everyday life for everyone who lives, works and visits here.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Carry out all Loader works as requested on Construction and Maintenance works including Gravel pit works and depot yard loader operations.
- Carry out a variety of civil engineering tasks, as requested by Engineering Supervisors, associated with the general construction and maintenance of roads, drains, footpaths and other Engineering Assets.
- Operate and maintain all associated plant in accordance to Council Policy and procedures.
- Comply with relevant Occupational Safety and Health legislation and complete all work in a protected and efficient manner, having regard to own safety, the public and that of other workers.

- Experience in relevant plant operation and civil engineering work
- Final trim experience
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain a CN High Risk Work Licence and Integrated Tool Carrier (ITC) ticket will be highly regarded
- Sound WHS knowledge and willingness to adhere to safe practices and legislation
- HR Class Vehicle Licence
- White Card
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate





About working with us: The salary for this position will be from $77,769.79 - $78,723.95 per annum (includes loading), depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
