Green
Genie delivers a wide range of projects, including bulk earthworks, concrete services, demolition, and driveway and crossover constructions. The team also completes house and shed pads, landscape and paving preparations, retaining walls, and site cleans and rubbish removals. In addition, Green Genie provides site works, subdivisions, and supplies various soils, sands, mulches, as well as tree and stump removals.
Role Description This is a full time, in office Machine Operator role based in Perth, WA.
The Machine
Operator will operate a range of earthmoving machinery to support civil, demolition, and construction projects, including tasks such as bulk earthworks, site works, and material handling.
Responsibilities include safely operating machines, performing basic maintenance checks, and using hand tools when required to complete detailed work. The role involves following project plans, adhering to quality and safety standards,
assisting with site cleans and preparations, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient project delivery.
The Machine
Operator may be required to work across multiple sites in the Perth metropolitan area and regional WA.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in machine operation, including safe and efficient use of earthmoving equipment.
- Experience working with a range of machinery relevant to civil construction and earthworks.
- Ability to perform quality control checks to ensure work meets project and safety standards.
- Competence in using hand tools for detailed tasks and finishing work on site.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, team members, and other contractors.
- Valid tickets and licenses for operating relevant machinery (e.g., excavators, loaders, skid steers).
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices in civil and construction environments.
- Reliable work ethic, ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, and willingness to travel to different sites.
- Previous experience in civil construction, earthworks, or contracting is highly regarded.
