Maintenance General Assistant

The College is currently seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated full-time Maintenance Assistant.

This position will be part of a small, highly efficient team, that ensures that the College campus is safe and well presented, and maintains and updates College facilities to meet the needs of our growing community.

Your Role

- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements across school buildings, grounds, and facilities.
- Drive the school bus for student transport, excursions, and events, ensuring safe and responsible operation.
- Conduct routine inspections across the campus and buses to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and compliance issues.
- Manage and maintain school equipment, tools, storage areas, and maintenance logs.
- Support school operations by setting up classrooms, events, furniture, and equipment as required.




- Coordinate with external contractors and staff to ensure timely and effective completion of works.
- Assist with College AV requirements, including setup and troubleshooting for events and learning spaces.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:
- Attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple tasks and activities in parallel
- Willingness to learn and develop skills
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Landscaping/trade experience (desirable, but not essential).
- Bus drivers licence preferred or willing to be trained.
- The ability to be a team player.
- Advanced interpersonal skills.
- Robust work ethic.
- A commitment to the advancement of the College’s vision.
