As the central point of reference for rebuild and repair scheduling, you will ensure operational readiness, workflow coordination, resource/ asset utilisation and adherence to forecasted plans across the department. Your work directly contributes to on-time delivery, cost recovery, resource utilisation and customer satisfaction.
Location: South Guilford
Roster: Monday–Friday, 10.5 hrs/day (incl. meal break)
What You’ll Do
- Champion safety, accountability, and WesTrac values across the workshop.
- Plan and schedule engine component rebuilds and repairs to meet operational targets.
- Coordinate labour, tooling, machining, parts, and resources to ensure job readiness.
- Monitor work progress, manage schedule changes, and communicate risks or delays.
- Liaise with workshop teams, stores, and vendors to support efficient job execution.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and work order requirements.
- Lead schedule review meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience in planning / scheduling, workshop coordination, or a similar technical planning role.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical and organisational skills.
- Robust mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical information quickly.
- Proficiency with planning tools, MS Office, and systems such as DBS, WPS, Cognos, Concur, ServiceLink, and MS Project/Visio.
- Desirable: Caterpillar product knowledge,
and experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., CPS).
