About the role

Matt Wood Plumbing and Gas is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Plumber to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Norwood, SA 5067, this role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a reputable plumbing and gas services company. As a Maintenance Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and installations across a variety of properties and systems.

This position is integral to ensuring our clients receive reliable, high-quality plumbing and gas services that keep their systems running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

- Conducting routine maintenance inspections on plumbing and gas systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Repairing and replacing damaged pipes, fixtures, and fittings in residential, commercial, and industrial properties
- Installing new plumbing systems, hot water services, and gas appliances in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Diagnosing plumbing and gas issues efficiently and providing clients with clear explanations and cost-effective solutions
- Performing preventative maintenance work to extend the lifespan of plumbing and gas systems
- Maintaining records of all work completed, including materials used and time spent on each job
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant Australian plumbing and gas codes and safety regulations
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients through professional and courteous service
- Assisting with emergency call-outs when required to address urgent plumbing and gas issues

What we're looking for





- A recognised plumbing apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in plumbing and gas work
- Current, valid plumbing and gas licenses as required by South Australian legislation
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, and gas installation practices
- Proficiency in using standard plumbing tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to clients in a explicit manner
- A valid driver's license and reliable transport to travel to client locations
- A commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various conditions and environments
