THE ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager Client Support and Housing Services plays a key leadership role, leading a housing team undertaking complex system and service coordination activities.
The position is accountable for the management of the Client Support and Housing Services Unit, leading a team to meet organisational objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, stakeholder expectations and client needs.
The role actively works in collaboration with the relevant central office program areas and other internal stakeholders in influencing, developing and implementing departmental policy and vision, ensuring that local needs are taken into account in policy and program development. It will involve the development of change management strategies to improve business processes and systems to deliver better client services and improved models of service delivery. A focus on fostering innovative approaches to housing and complex client support is key.
This role supports the strategic directions of government enabling Victorians to have suitable and stable housing and implementing actions to reduce homelessness and improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable/disadvantaged Victorians.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Strategically design and develop the delivery of departmental objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet statewide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
- With a high level of understanding of the local context, strategically review and implement departmental initiatives and approaches that impact service delivery and service system issues and support those initiatives to meet departmental, government and community expectations.
- Act as a key source of local advice by maintaining an understanding of issues impacting health services and the service system and investigate and lead critical projects that that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency or improved consumer outcomes.
