About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer & Director of Information Technology, the Manager IT Services is responsible for developing and leading ST Vic’s IT strategic plan and roadmap and delivering projects that support fit-for-purpose IT governance.

Leading a team of IT professionals across Programs, Business Systems and Technology, the role will provide leadership and guidance to ensure best-practice IT services are implemented, maintained and aligned with ST Vic’s business objectives.

The responsibilities of the Manager IT Operations will include, but are not limited to:

- Lead ST Vic’s IT operational and security reporting, including internal reporting, Cenitex governance and the Cloud FinOps practice.




- Provide strategic advice and ensure continuity of ST Vic’s IT operations through effective maintenance, support, upgrades and renewal of IT assets.
- Assess current and future demand for IT services and develop compelling business cases and recommendations.
- Develop strategies to optimise IT service delivery through effective partnerships, service delivery insights and knowledge transition.
- Lead the IT risk management framework and its connection with enterprise risk management, including the development and management of remediation plans.
- Provide effective leadership, people management and support to the IT team, building engagement, cohesion and commitment.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

You will bring demonstrated experience in IT service delivery, technology operations, governance and risk management, with the ability to translate organisational requirements into practical IT strategies, services and solutions. You will have a strong business partnering and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to bring together diverse stakeholders across complex IT projects and navigate competing priorities. You will be comfortable providing strategic advice, developing business cases and working with internal teams, service providers and external partners to deliver effective technology outcomes.

You will also bring a forward-thinking approach to technology and service delivery, with an interest in emerging technologies, innovation, artificial intelligence and automation and how these can support the future needs of ST Vic.

About You

You are an experienced and collaborative IT leader who combines strong operational capability with strategic thinking.

You understand how effective IT services, governance, risk management and technology operations contribute to broader organisational outcomes. You are comfortable assessing complex issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.

You are an effective people leader who can develop capability, build a cohesive team and create an environment where people are supported to perform at their best. You are also able to lead and navigate organisational change, helping others understand and adapt to evolving technology and business requirements.

You will bring strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across both technical and non-technical areas. You will be solutions-focused, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement,



quality service delivery and identifying better ways of working.

Qualifications A relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, business administration or a related field is required.

Experience leading IT teams within a complex organisation will be highly regarded, as will public sector experience.

Protected, Agile, Scrum or PRINCE2 project management certifications are also desirable.
